Deeyah Khan is the 2020 Schwarzkopf Europe Award Winner

Every year, the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe awards the Schwarzkopf Europe Award to public persons or institutions that have shown particularly strong commitment to solidarity within Europe. Deeyah was awarded the prize for her work to increase the visibility of marginalized people and to promote dialogue between  communities.

The Schwarzkopf jury members explained that she had been awarded the prize for her commitment to exploring the experiences of minorities in Europe and for working towards greater intercultural understandings within an increasingly pluralistic Europe.
