Deeyah Khan invited to speak at UNESCO’s Convention on Artistic Freedom

Human rights activist and filmmaker, Deeyah Khan will speak in a panel discussion on May 2nd at UNESCO’s 2005 convention on the protection and promotion of artistic freedom – marking World Press Freedom day 2016.

As a strong advocate of Freedom of Expression, Deeyah Khan will join Nigerian writer Jude Dibia, Adel Abidin an Iraqi-Finnish visual artist, French visual artist Aude Pariset and Leevi Haapala, Director of the KiasmaMuseum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki, to discuss how artists can use digital technology to promote artistic freedom.
