Deeyah Khan announces sister-hood’s inaugural live event in Oslo

On Monday 14th November, Deeyah Khan's media production company Fuuse will be hosting its first sister-hood live event – The Burden of “Honour” – in Oslo. Moderated by Afak Afgun, managing editor of sister-hood magazine, this event will feature young Norwegian women of Muslim heritage discussing the topic of ‘honour’ and social control within their communities.

International recording artist Sister Fa who campaigns for women’s rights and the abolition of FGM (female genital mutilation) will also be performing at the event.

This event takes place Monday 14th November from 6.30pm – 8.45pm at Riksscenen, Oslo and will be in Norwegian. Tickets are available to purchase for 50 NOK.
